—When you called my name with that voice,
Assuredly, my star must have gleamed with amplified brilliance—
My paralyzed heart loved agony.
Agony, the very essence of my happiness.
Upon that eve, as I kindled the candle of my resolve,
Whose dream was that which scented luscious?
The dread of losing belief is greater than that of believing itself,
I firmly believe.
In this world burgeoning with fantasies, suffocated, I draw breath with all my might.
Everybody derided me as a “hopeless romantic”.
Eyes glistening, solitude mirrored within,
A gaunt back that lost sight of the sky,
My flesh, with crimson desolation seeping from within,
A voice carrying mists that narrate grand dramas,
I metamorphosed into a flawless epitome.
Should I be grateful or resentful?
The heroine upon whom the beauteous goddess of triumph smiled,
Seeking to attain excessive deliverance as her own,
Yet I might fall once more.
Still, I persist in pondering, in losing sight.
Engulfing myself in this endless loop of existence,
It’s the only thing I fathom in this opaque world.
“When shall I ever see the star?”
Whilst glaring upon yesterday,
In the nocturnal stride toward tomorrow,
She shall sanguinely sing a tune.
Even if I can never go back to that summer…
(maiden of summer).
